1) DLF: Delhi Land and Finance

The full form of DLF is Delhi Land and Finance. It is the largest commercial real estate developer in India, based in New Delhi, India. It was founded by Chaudhary Raghvendra Singh on July 4, 1946. DLF developed residential colonies in Delhi, such as Shivaji Park (its first development), Model Town, Rajouri Garden, Krishna Nagar, South Extension, Greater Kailash, Kailash Colony, and Hauz Khas. Its products are offices, apartments, residential towers, shopping centers, hotels, IT Parks, SEZ (Special Group Zone), golf courses and infrastructure. As of March 2020, Kushal Pal Singh is the Chairman, Rajiv Singh is the Vice President, Rajeev Talwar and Mohit Gujral are co-CEOs of DLF. According to Forbes’ list of the wealthiest billionaires in 2009, Kushal Pal Singh is the world’s richest real estate developer. The company’s $2 billion IPO in July 2007 was the largest IPO in India’s history. In 2008 DLF became the main sponsor of the IPL (Indian Premier League), a new Twenty20 cricket league in India.

2) DLF: David Lynch Foundation

The David Lynch Foundation (DLF) is a global charitable foundation with offices in New York, Los Angeles and Fairfield, Iowa. It was founded by film director and Transcendental Meditation (TM) practitioner David Lynch in 2005 to fund the teaching of TM in the schools. Its motto is “Change begins within”. Through its charity programs, DLF offers these people free Transcendental Meditation courses. But the Foundation’s activities are not limited to offering free meditation courses. It also funds research at universities and medical schools to assess the effects of the program in various practical areas, such as academic performance, learning disorders such as ADHD, depression, substance abuse, cardiovascular disease, PTSD, etc. Over the years, it has expanded its focus to include other “at risk” populations, such as homeless people, US military veterans, African war refugees, and prison inmates.
