The full form of the UPSC is Union Public Service Commission. It’ undertaken by the central government of India. It’s work like a recruitment agency for central government and recruiting candidate for Indian Armed Force, AIS, IPS, and CSC, etc.

Every year UPSC conducts All India exams for different services like AIP, PCS, IPS, and many more for Central Government and State Government.

According to the Indian constitution, UPSC is mandatory and its responsibility to appoint candidates for all services under the Central & State Government of India for Group A and Group B.

UPSC conduct examination in three stages

  1. Prelims
  2. Main
  3. Personality Test

Prelims or Preliminary Examination

Prelims are the first stage in this stage candidate attends two papers (Objective questions).

First paper: 100 questions each of 2 marks from National and International Events, Science & Technology, Economy, Environment & Ecology, Geography, Polity, and, History. Be cautious there is negative marking if you put a wrong answer. You must be qualified in this exam to appear in the main exam in the second stage.  

Second paper: 80 questions 2 marks each. The second paper exam score is not included in the final list.

Main Exam:   In the main exam nine papers conduct in different categories.

Personality test: Final stage for those candidates who qualify the main exam. In the personality, test interviews are held face to face.

After pass Intermediate class we apply to UPSC exam?

Who eligible for UPSC?
